Congrats to seniors Shavonte Zellous and Xenia Stewart for closing out their last home game with a 79-60 win over St. John's on Monday. You can't say enough about the two, especially Zellous who is an All-American candidate, and what they did for Pitt women's basketball.

Their four-year record was 92-37 - pretty good for a program that really struggled.

Women's Team Celebrates 20 Wins Again

Congrats to the women's team who notched another 20-win season with a 68-53 win over Cincinnati at the Pete on Saturday.

The home court has been good to them as it has been to the men as they have only one loss there this year. With wins against Cincy and Villanova this week, they should move up in the polls come tomorrow. Shavonte Zellous and Xenia Stewart led Pitt with 16 points each.

With only three more regular-season games left, they look like another lock for the tournament. Pitt was listed as a rising #6 seed in the latest Bracketology ratings on ESPN.com.

Pitt Women Down Syracuse

The Pitt women hung on to win a close game against Syracuse, winning 77-75 on a jumper at the buzzer by Xenia Stewart .

Shavonte Zellous only scored 15 points, but it was still enough to lead the Panthers in scoring.

Pitt has now won three in a row and should move up in the polls after going 2-0 this week winning at Seton Hall and Syracuse.
